Union Karate Club recently welcomed kickboxing legend Bill “Superfoot” Wallace for a weekend of training and learning at our new dojo.

The weekend began on Friday evening with an exclusive seminar for Union Karate Club students. Our juniors, teens, and adults had the opportunity to train directly with one of the most accomplished competitors in kickboxing history.

During the seminar, Mr. Wallace taught a variety of drills focusing on flexibility, footwork, kicking combinations, timing, and movement. Students worked through partner drills and combinations while learning training methods developed throughout his decades of competition and instruction. It was a unique opportunity for our students to experience a different approach to training and add new techniques to their own karate journey.

On Saturday, Union Karate Club welcomed martial artists from across Mississippi and neighboring states for a three-hour seminar led by Mr. Wallace. Participants from a variety of martial arts backgrounds trained together while exploring kicking techniques, sparring concepts, stretching methods, and movement drills.

Throughout the weekend, participants had opportunities to ask questions, take photos, and receive autographs following the seminars.

Hosting seminars with experienced martial artists gives our students the opportunity to learn from different perspectives while continuing to build on the traditional foundation taught at Union Karate Club. We appreciate everyone who attended and helped make the weekend a memorable experience.
