April marks a meaningful milestone at Union Karate Club as we recognize a group of students who have officially completed one full year of training.
Several of these students began their journey on April 1st of last year—the very day our dojo first opened its doors. They stepped onto the floor when everything was new, uncertain, and just beginning. One year later, they are still here, stronger, more confident, and continuing to grow.
Over the past year, these students have developed a solid foundation in kihon, kata, and kumite while also demonstrating the character traits that define traditional karate. They have learned discipline, respect, perseverance, and the value of consistent effort.
What makes this group especially significant is not just their progress, but their commitment. They have trained through the early stages of building a school, adapted as the program evolved, and set the standard for what it means to be part of Union Karate Club.
Their dedication has helped shape the culture of our dojo, and their example continues to influence newer students stepping onto the mat.
Congratulations on one year of hard work and growth!
